Remember that reality show about rich, entitled women in SoCal whose biggest issue in life was what dress they were going to where to the club. No we aren’t talking about Keeping Up with the Kardashians, it’s the old MTV series: The Hills.
Following the success of the show Laguna Beach, the anything but Music Television station decided to follow around Lauren Conrad and her friends as they dealt with first-world problems like boy drama, fashion faux pas, and daddy issues.
Airing for six seasons, the reality show saw a myriad of success, but finally ended in July 2010. Nearly eight-years later, it’s time for us to catch up with ladies of The Hills and figure out what they are up to now!
Arguably the most popular character on the reality show, Lauren Conrad has been flourishing outside the television spotlight. Still based in LA, she has two successful fashion lines: Paper Crown and LC by Lauren Conrad.
The SoCal starlet has since been married to guitarist William Tell (no not the guy who shot an apple of someone’s head). On top of that, she has written a series of young-adult novels, proving that reality stars can make a decent career after their fifteen minutes of fame.
Ugh, was there any other reality TV show couple that was more annoying than Heidi and Spencer? Montag attempted to launch her music career after The Hills ended, but her album, Superficial, was just too… superficial. Apart from that, she has had several small acting roles and made appearances a few other reality shows.
The Heidi/Spencer relationship has always been rocky, but the couple did welcome their first child into the world in October 2017, leading us to believe that everything is all good!
Up next is the reality show queen, Audrina Partridge. After The Hills, she had stints on DWTS, her own VH1 reality show, Audrina, and hosted the travel reality show 1st Look.
Not everything has been as smooth in the relationship department though. Partridge married long-term on-again-off-again boyfriend, BMX biker Corey Bohan, in 2016 and the couple had a daughter together. Yet, shortly afterwards, Partridge filed for a divorce and a restraining order against Bohan! I guess that she needed a little reality show drama in real life!
LC’s nemesis, Kristin Cavallari, is doing pretty well for herself these days. The blonde bombshell is married to polarizing professional quarterback, Jay Cutler, living the life of an NFL WAG. The power couple has three children together and currently they reside in Nashville.
As for her own career, Cavallari has a diverse portfolio including a stint on DWTS, a shoe company, a clothing brand, and even a cookbook!
After The Hills ended, MTV loved Whitney Port so much, they gave her a reality show The City, chronicling her time in the Big Apple. Since that show ended, Port has made a few guest appearances in movie and television, but nothing too serious.
Stephanie Pratt may have just been Spencer’s annoying little sister, but she has since made a name for herself outside her brother’s shadow, starring in the UK reality series Made in Chelsea. Aside from her television appearances, Pratt rocks Instagram with some NSFW selfies.
The cute and quirky Lo Bosworth is the last cast member we will check up on to day. A minor character on both The Hills, and it’s predecessor Laguna Beach, Bosworth has shifted out of the celebrity limelight since the shows have ended. But, that doesn’t mean she hasn’t had a successful career!
Bosworth has run blogs, started companies, wrote books, and even graduated from culinary school! Now that’s one multi-talented woman!
