Tori Spelling is taking Benihana to court after she tripped and fell on a hot grill and suffered third degree burns.
The 42-year-old former actress and reality star filed a lawsuit over the accident that occurred in April. Someone needs some money we guess!
In April, Spelling and her family had brunch on Easter Sunday at Benihana when she tripped and fell on the hot grill.
The court documents state that she received ‘deep second and third degree burn injuries.’
Tori said in the legal documents that she suffered ‘general damage’, medical expenses, and wage loss.
The former Beverly Hills, 90210 is suing not only the Encino location but also the Benihana corporation.
Eyewitnesses at the restaurant stated that Tori, husband Dean McDermott, and their children were enjoying brunch, when Tori tripped and fell onto a hot grill.
The source said, “She got up to leave and tripped, falling backwards on to a scorching hot grill. She shouted out in pain from a large burn on the back of her right arm.
“You could tell she was hurting, but she was trying to put on a brave face for the sake of her four young children who were quite obviously worried. Dean looked upset too, but you could tell they were doing their best to stay calm and not alarm the children.”
She didn’t seek medical attention for the painful burn until the following day when her doctor ordered her to undergo immediate treatment at the Grossman Burn Center in West Hills, California.
Tori had to have a skin graft in the following days and now has a red scar.
