Steven Tyler & Kelsea Ballerini announce CMA 2015 nominees

The nominations for the 49th Annual Country Music Awards, aka the CMAs, were announced today by Kelsea Ballerini and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler.

Eric Church and Little Big Town received the most nominations this year. Check out the full list of nominees here!

The nominees were announced on Wednesday on Good Morning America.

Eric Church and Little Big Town both received five nominations each, with two in the same category.

Church has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Single of the Year (for ‘Talladega’), Song of the Year (‘Like A Wrecking Ball’), Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year (‘Raise ‘Em Up’ with Keith Urban).

Church will be competing against Little Big Town in the Single of the Year category, for which they are nominated for ‘Girl Crush’. They are also nominated in the same category for Musical Event of the Year for their collaboration with Miranda Lambert, ‘Smokin’ and Drinkin’.

Little Big Town are also nominated for Album of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year and Musical Video of the Year.

Miranda Lambert and her estranged husband Blake Shelton are both nominated for Musical Event of the Year.  We wonder if that will be awkward.

Lambert, nominated for her performance with ‘Little Big Town’, is up against Shelton’s ‘Lovely Tonight’ featuring Ashley Monroe.

The ceremony is due to be held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on 4th November. The show, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will be broadcast live on ABC.
