One Direction breaking up

Teens around the world won’t be happy to hear the reports about One Direction splitting up are true.

Niall Horan confirmed the band is splitting up on Twitter, but tried to assure fans it won’t be permanent. But will it?

Horan confirmed that the group are indeed taking a break next year.

Just a day after it was revealed that the famous boy band are going on a year-long (or more) hiatus, Horan confirmed the reports.

Niall tweeted, “We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year.”

Niall, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson are taking at least a year off to focus on solo projects. This means the band will not be going on tour with their fifth album.

A source revealed yesterday, “The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boy band.  They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision”.

Niall added on Twitter, “Don’t worry though, we still have lots we want to achieve ! Can’t wait for you to hear all the new music we have for you and to perform some new songs as the tour continues. Love you all.”

One Direction fans are devastated over the split.

Fans took to Twitter to vent their sadness over the news.

One fan tweeted, “WE NEED OUR OWN SHOW CALLED “KEEPING UP WITH THE DIRECTIONERS” BC WE GO THROUGH MORE DRAMA THAN KARDASHIANS TBH”.

Another tweet reads, “I come online on twitter and the first thing I see is rumours about 1d splitting up. DOES THE DRAMA EVER END?!?!?!”

@HoranFarmPotato tweeted, “Zayn left 1D in March, The sun claims that they are breaking up in March. WTF MY BIRTHDAY IS IN MARCH CAN I AT LEAST LIVE FOR ONCE????”

Other fans suggested the band will likely reunite after their break.  The fan tweeted, “1D is The Rolling Stones of this era, they will not end this, there will be a few breaks like ANY OTHER ARTISTS.”
