Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s 23-year-old son, Cooper Hefner, is engaged to “Vampire Diaries” actress Scarlett Byrne.
Cooper Hefner proposed to Scarlett with a stunning canary diamond and posted their happy news to Instagram.
Cooper captioned the cute photo, “To many more adventures with this lovely lady @Scarlebyrne”.
Byrne, 24, posted her own note to Instagram, writing, “I was lucky enough to fall in love with my best friend”.
Hugh Hefner, 89, chimed in and tweeted, “Sending love and congratulations to my son Cooper and his fiancee Scarlett on their engagement!”
Cooper is the son of Hugh and model Kimberly Conrad, whom were married between 1989 and 2010.
Cooper reportedly flew with Scarlett to London so he could ask for her father’s permission before popping the question on Tuesday.
Scarlett, 24, played Pansy Parkinson in the hit Harry Potter movies, also appearing on Falling Skies and The Vampire Diaries.
Cooper is set to inherit a share of his father’s estimated $50 million fortune. Hugh, who has three other children, wants Cooper to take over Playboy one day.
Hefner’s son stated, “I admire my dad and everything that he stood for in the 60s and 70s and still stands for. It’s an honor to say the least to carry on the family legacy.
“I get a lot of joy watching dad edit the magazine. I make the joke that I feel like sometimes I’m in two universities. I leave school and then I come here and I learn from the best.”
