Maynard James Keenan has just released a new video for “Grand Canyon, which is a single off Puscifer’s third album.

The group is set to release the album, Money Shot, on October 30th. Check out the video!

I’ve always been a huge fan of Tool, especially their song “Prison Sex”.

Keenan’s latest music video with his band Puscifer features gorgeous footage of the desert landscape. The Tool frontman lives in Arizona.

The video, directed by Adam Rothlein, ends with the image of lucha libre characters from Puscifer’s Toma video standing on the edge of a cliff.

Keenan said of the new album with ten tracks, “It’s extremely satisfying to witness simple conversations and ideas transform into completed sonic landscapes. And to have these stories go above and beyond the initial ideas makes my grumpy heart swell three sizes.”

The Tool frontman started his project Puscifer in 1995 while participating in Laura Milligan’s Hollywood-based underground variety stage show Tantrum.

Keenan previously explained that Puscifer “is my attempt to make music to inspire people. Heavy rock is sinking, the industry is dying. This is definitely not thinking man’s music” — elliptically referring to Tool’s dense, serpentine metal — “but groove-oriented music that makes you feel good.”

Puscifer’s debut album, V Is for Vagina, came out in 2007, but band members have changed with Keenan being the only constant member.
