Claire Holt, who is known for starring on the Vampire Diaries and The Originals, has revealed she is engaged to Matt Kaplan.
The 27-year-old Australian beauty shared a photo on Instagram to make the big announcement.
Claire shared a photo of herself and Matt, showing off her engagement ring, adding the simple caption of “Yes”.
Holt first shot to fame when she starred in the Australian children’s television show H20: Just Add Water.
Claire revealed in an interview earlier this year that her boyfriend helped her with her American accent.
She said, “My boyfriend – Matt Kaplan – is American so any time I’m unsure of how to say something, I say, ‘Hey how do you say this?’ and he yells it out. I think it’s always going to sound funny to him and not quite right but hopefully the public who watch it won’t be able to catch on!”
It was revealed last March that Claire was leaving the hit CW drama, The Originals, a spinoff of The Vampire Diaries.
In an interview, Claire said of her life after the show, “I would love to continue to challenge myself by trying different things. Action, Drama, Comedy.
“I would be grateful to do any and all of it if someone is kind enough to hire me!’
‘I have such a wonderful time on The Originals though, because I get to play Rebekah in so many different periods. I’m a little spoiled.”
Holt moved to Los Angeles from her hometown of Brisbane in 2009, appearing in Mean Girls 2 before starring on three episodes of Pretty Little Liars.
Her character Rebekah was first introduced in the third season of The Vampire Diaries before becoming a lead character in the spin-off series.
