Katy Perry beats rival Taylor Swift as top earning star

Katy Perry graces the cover of Forbes’ annual ‘Highest Earning Celebrities’ issue this month, with the singer being the highest paid female entertainer.

Perry is probably loving that she beat out her alleged rival, Taylor Swift. Find out which others stars topped the list!

Katy was the musician that banked the most money this year, coming at number three on the list overall.

Katy earned $135 million from June 2014-June 2015, thanks to her successful ‘Prismatic World Tour’.

The singer stated to Forbes, “I’m an entrepreneur. I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually wanted to kind of grab it by its balls.”

She was beaten out by boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather tops the list after making an incredible $300 million in earnings, due to his “fight of the century” in early May in Vegas.

His opponent Manny Pacquiao came in second place with $160 million.

One Direction came in the fourth spot (even after Zayn Malik quit the boy band in March).  The band raked in $130 million.

Radio DJ and former “America’s Got Talent” judge, Howard Stern, came in at number five with earnings of $95 million this year.

Iron Man hunk Robert Downey Jr. was the highest paid actor this year, coming in at number nine.

Beyonce was number one on Forbes’ list last year, but fell to the 29th spot this year, making $54.5  million.  That’s a huge drop from $115 million last year.

Beyoncé, who fell to the 29th spot, earning only $54.5 million this year, a major drop from last year’s $115 million.

Reality star Kim Kardashian, who is pregnant with her second child (baby boy), jumped from 80th place last year to 33rd this year after banking 2.5 million.
