Did Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger quietly tie the knot?
The actor appeared to reveal the news as he presented an award at the CFDA Awards. Was it a slip of the tongue or are they already married?
Jackson was presenting an award at the CFDA Awards when he heard someone whistle. He quipped, “I’m assuming that was my wife.”
This is the first time Jackson has referred to Kruger as his wife. In fact, both have let it be known they didn’t believe in marriage.
In 2014, Diane spoke to Metro about marriage, saying, “I never believed in love at first sight but I do believe opposites attract. I think it’s lovely to show your partner or someone you love, whether it’s a man or a friend, your affection and to do something outrageously romantic.”
And in 2011, Kruger told Glamour, “Without sounding pessimistic, I learned that I don’t believe in marriage. I believe in a commitment that you make in your heart. There’s no paper that will make you stay.”
A few months later and Joshua told Glamour that he won’t marry Diane Kruger because they’re not religious.
Jackson explained, “I can tell you why we’re not married: We’re not religious. I don’t feel any more or less committed to Diane for not having stood in front of a priest and had a giant party. We’re both children of divorce, so it’s hard for me to take marriage at face value as the thing that shows you’ve grown up and are committed to another person.”
But the actor also said he’d never say never, adding, “It may change at some point. We may get married.”
It sounds as if they did!
