Miles Teller will play Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming film Fantastic Four this summer, but it appears he is already trying on being a superhero for size.
Teller, 29, was spotted helping a heavily pregnant woman and her child on Sunday on Miami beach after she was caught up in a riptide.
Miles was enjoying a day on the beach with his girlfriend, Keleigh Sperry, on Sunday when he noticed a woman in trouble.
The 28-year-old actor saw the woman and child having trouble battling the tide and he jumped into action.
Teller and Sperry could hear cries from the woman in the water needing help and they brought her and her child back to shore safely.
Keleigh later wrote on Instagram, “She came up to us freaking out telling us to not freak out but It was a shark. And the scariest moment ever hahah poor lady. :(( pregnant with a toddler on her back”.
The actor helped the mother and her son to shore and talked with them a few minutes to make certain they were alright.
Miles and Keleigh have been in Miami while he films the movie “Arms and the Dudes,” alongside Jonah Hill.
The movie is based on Guy Lawson’s Rolling Stone article, which follows two stoners from Miami Beach who ended up becoming arms dealers for the U.S. government, arming America’s allies in Afghanistan.
Todd Phillips, known for his work on The Hangover and Due Date, is directing and also produces along with Bradley Cooper and Mark Gordon.
Teller is also known for his roles in last year’s “Whiplash,” the “Divergent” films, and “The Spectacular Now.”
The actor will star in the upcoming flick Fantastic Four as Mr. Fantastic:
