Tina Fey made her final appearance on Late Night With David Letterman, ahead of his upcoming retirement.
The 44-year-old actress revealed her appearance would be the last time she would get dressed up again, deciding to strip down to nothing but her spanx and a leotard.
Fey vowed she would honor the late night host by never dressing up again.
She said, “I realize when you retire this is it – I am never gonna wear a fancy dress again. It is very hard work. I’m not sure if you’re aware of the contraptions – it is almost medical. I dress up for you.”
Tina said, “My gift to you is I wanna give you the dress”, before turning around and asking, “Can you unzip it?”
Letterman, 68, happily obliged and soon the actress and writer has stripped off her blue dress.
Fey was wearing full spanx with a black tiny leotard with “Bye Dave!” screened on the front and “#LastDressEver” on the back.
Letterman quipped, “Someone bring a first aid kit!”
Fey currently has the Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which had originally been slated for NBC. The series’ co-creator is currently working on the second season of the Ellie Kemper-starring series, which is set to debut in 2016.
Tina Fey will also be starring in upcoming comedy Sisters with her longtime friend Amy Poehler, which follows two sisters (Tina and Amy) who decide to throw one last house party before their parents sell their family home. The movie will be released in December.
Tina is just one of the stars set to appear before David hosts his final Late Night show on May 20.
Stephen Colbert will be stepping in after Letterman, 68, retires from his longtime gig.
