Former Marry Me and Happy Endings star Casey Wilson has given birth to her first child.
The 34-year-old actress and her husband David Caspe welcomed a baby boy.
Casey and writer and producer David Caspe, 36, married less than a year ago.
The proud parents have not yet released details about the baby’s birth.
The actress previously told Fit Pregnancy that her pregnancy had been pretty rough.
She said, “I felt tired and sick and in a fog, like an extreme hangover, until about week 16. I thought, ‘Surely, this is the worst part of parenting.’ And then I remembered when I was 15 and my mom said I couldn’t go out. I pulled two giant brass wall sconces out of the wall with my bare hands. There are rougher waters ahead”.
Casey is happy about having a boy, but admits that she initially hoped to have a little girl.
She said, “I almost felt relieved when I found out I was having a boy. Having lost my mom and having had such a close mother-daughter relationship, I felt like somehow I wasn’t ready for a girl. I felt like the universe is letting me try this out with a boy first”.
Casey met her husband David when she auditioned for the lead role on his comedy series, Happy Endings.
They started dating in 2011 and were married three years later in May 2014.
David has said several times he created his follow-up comedy, Marry Me, as a way to propose to Casey.
Marry Me was cancelled after its first season this spring, but Casey will continue to appear on her Hulu comedy series, The Hotwives. The comedy series is a parody of The Real Housewives.
Wilson also had a small role in the 2014 movie, Gone Girl, in which she played Noelle, the busybody neighbor who befriended Amy (played by Rosamund Pike).
