We are sure you have heard by now about the molestation scandal surrounding Josh Duggar, the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
The 19 Kids and Counting reality star reportedly molested young girls as a teenager, which included his own sisters. Now a video has emerged where Josh is shown joking about incest. Yikes!
A clip from an episode of 19 Kids and Counting that shows Josh making a joke about dating his siblings.
His reference was about going on a double-date with his sister, Jana, and brother, John David. The family requires a chaperone when they are courting.
Josh jokes in the clip from 2008, when he was 20-years-old, about going to the movies with his then-fiancee Anna.
He originally chose his 15-year-old sister Jinger to accompany them, but the movie theater required an age of 18 to attend.
He ended up taking his brother and sister, twins Jana and John David.
Josh’s joke may not have been a big thing at the time, but now it’s just creepy after it’s been revealed he molested at least five girls in 2005.
He said, “We chose Jana and John David – we thought why not, have a double date. We are from Arkansas, no?”
The Springdale Police Department report stated, “Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar told police they learned of a person improperly touching people at their home in 2002 and 2003. Victims also told police they had been improperly touched, sometimes while they slept. The instances happened over a period of several months.”
Josh’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar posted an apology for their son’s actions on Facebook, stating that Josh made “some very bad mistakes” and the situation brought the family “closer to God.”
In their statement, they said, “Back 12 years ago our family went through one of the most difficult times of our lives. When Josh was a young teenager, he made some very bad mistakes and we were shocked. We had tried to teach him right from wrong. That dark and difficult time caused us to seek God like never before. Even though we would never choose to go through something so terrible, each one of our family members drew closer to God.”
TLC pulled 19 Kids and Counting from their line-up last week, but it is not known if the reality show will be permanently pulled from the network.
