California band Faith No More have still got it and we are liking what we hear on their new album, Sol Invictus.
The band members Mike Bordin, Roddy Bottum, Bill Gould, Jon Hudson, and Mike Patton made the stream available on the Internet for fans. Take a listen!
This is the first album the band since 1997’s “Album Of The Year”, their sixth album.
The band members then worked on other projects and did not keep in touch, despite fans pleading with them to reunite. And it apparently worked!
The group previously wrote, “Throughout our 17 years of existence, the mental and physical energy required to sustain this creature was considerable and relentless. Though amicable enough, when we finally split, we all followed paths seemingly destined to opposite ends of the universe.”
But the band members sat down together this year for the first time in 10 years.
Faith No More said, “What we’ve discovered is that time has afforded us enough distance to look back on our years together through a clearer lens and made us realize that through all the hard work, the music still sounds good, and we are beginning to appreciate the fact that we might have actually done something right”.
They stated, “We can only hope that the experience of playing together again will yield results erratic and unpredictable enough to live up to the legacy of FNM,. Who know where this will end or what it will bring up…only the future knows. But we are about to find out!”
Faith No More’s new album Sol Invictus is now available for streaming in its entirety here.
It will be released on May 19 with Reclamation Recordings.
The stream comes after the recent single releases of Superhero, Cone of Shame, and Motherfu*ker.
