Letterman is hand-picking his final guests and invited Tracy Chapman to perform one of his favorite songs, Ben E. King’s classic “Stand By Me”. She did a beautiful and emotional performance. Check it out!
In his intro, Letterman explained there were two songs that he loved as a kid, Simon & Garfunkel’s “America” and Ben E. King’s classic “Stand By Me”.
David Letterman invited Chapman, known best for her Grammy-winning hits “Fast Car”, “Baby Can I Hold You Tonight” and “Give Me One Reason”, to perform and she certainly didn’t disappoint.
Chapman is just as talented as when her album was released in the late 80s. She won a Grammy for Best Folk Album.
After listening to her performance, we just wanted to take a look back at some of her other songs we love.
