Barry Manilow tied the knot to Garry Kief in a secret ceremony last year, it has been revealed.
The Copacabana singer, 71, who has never publicly addressed his sexuality (nor should he have to), wed at his Palm Springs home in California with around 50 guests in attendance.
An insider said, “It was a total surprise”.
Everyone had been told they were attending a luncheon, but instead there was a wedding!
Sources close to the singer said that Barry and Garry have been committed to one another for a very long time.
Both men are now wearing wedding bands, but they have not formally filed documents on the marriage.
Manilow has worried that his female fans would not approve if they knew he was gay. We never really thought it was a huge secret.
Barry’s longtime friend Suzanne Somers, former Three’s Company actress, was the best man at the ceremony.
Barry’s assistant Marc Hulett performed the ceremony after he registered online to become a minister.
Barry Manilow was previously married to his high school sweetheart Susan Deixler in 1964, but the marriage only lasted a year.
Barry and Garry have kept their relationship under the radar and have been together for 30 years. Wow!
