Police are responding to a call reporting shots fired at the Miami Beach home of rapper Lil Wayne, who was not at home during the incident.

A man reportedly called to report he shot four people at the rapper’s home. Swat is currently in the home investigating. Was this a prank swatting call?

Police have set up a perimeter around the Miami Beach home of rapper Lil Wayne amid reports of shots fired at the property.

A hostage negotiator was seen arriving at the scene along with a SWAT team and K-9s, WSVN reported.

Young Money, the rapper’s record label, has since tweeted that Lil Wayne “is okay. Wasn’t home during alleged events.”

Police Detective Ernie Rodriguez told the Daily News that they’ve yet to make contact with anyone inside of the home whose floor-to-ceiling windows are seen closed.

On Saturday February 28, police were called to the same house around 3 am amid reports of a lurker at the rapper’s property.

Lil Wayne is currently suing his record label, Cash Money, in New York for $51 million after claiming that it stiffed him for $8 million on a record he delivered in December.

In the federal lawsuit filed in January, Lil Wayne is asking to nullify contracts with the company.

Police just reported the home is all clear and appears to be a hoax.
