Sarah Shahi and her husband Steve Howey have welcomed two bundles of joy!
The Person of Interest actress and husband Steve Howey, who stars on Showtime’s Shameless, are the proud parents of a son and a daughter!
Sarah, 35, gave birth to a baby girl and boy on March 1, at their home in Los Angeles.
The couple named their daughter Violet Moon and and their son Knox Blue.
The twins join 5-year-old big brother William Wolf, who was born at home too via water birth in 2009.
Shahi, who plays Sameen Shaw on the CBS crime drama Person of Interest, found out she was pregnant while filming the series last fall and is on an extended break from the program for the rest of the season.
Sarah said of her pregnancy news, “I just kept hitting them, like one after another. At first it was, ‘Guys, I’m pregnant,’ and they were like, ‘Woah, okay, this is great, how far along are you?’ And then: ‘Hey guys, just went to the doctor, I’m having twins.’ ‘Woah! What! Oh s—t!’”
But the actress adds, “They’ve been wonderful about it, and they’re all fathers themselves so they understand what blessings children are, but it did take some adjusting”.
Sarah added, “Given what’s going on in my life right now, it would definitely be a challenge to go back with two infants and try to be present as the character and to meet the demands of the show. But who knows? It’s definitely a goodbye for now, but not goodbye forever.”
Steve Howey is known for his role as Van Montgomery in the television series Reba, going on to play Kevin Ball on the Showtime series Shameless.
