Kelly Clarkson joked in a recent interview that every music artist she had asked to collaborate with had turned her down.
On Monday night, The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon had some fun performing a variety of duets with the former American Idol champ.
Fallon introduced Clarkson by stating her “problem” with working with other singers.
At that moment Kelly walked out on stage, asking, “Did somebody say duet, do you wanna sing with me?”
Kelly and Jimmy jumped right into performing popular duets over the years, including Sonny and Cher’s I Got You Babe, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s Islands in the Stream, Human League’s Don’t You Want Me, Elton John’s Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.
They also performed one of my personal favorites Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around by Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks.
They ended their performance singing the timeless classic “Endless Love”.

Clarkson tweeted last week about “joking” on the collaboration comment.
She tweeted, “Ok, I was making a joke about people not singing with me! The press is really twisting this comment just FYI! No big deal. New story please. Obviously my humor is not translating ha! PS my duet with John Legend is coming out tomorrow #collaborationstation”.
On her latest album, Kelly has collaborated with singer-songwriter Sia on the track Piece By Piece.
