Lisa Hochstein is going to be a mother!
Lisa and her husband Lenny will welcome their first child in August via surrogate, following three miscarriages and four unsuccessful IVF attempts.
The 32-year-old Real Housewives of Miami star shared her exciting news, saying, “It did not feel real, almost unbelievable! Although I was beyond excited and overjoyed, we did not want to get our hopes up too high until we passed the first trimester.”
Fans of the reality show watched Lisa and Lenny struggle to conceive a child. Months after season three wrapped, they looked into surrogacy as a “last resort.”
Hochstein said, “We felt that we tried almost every option available to us except surrogacy. Adoption was a consideration if this didn’t work.”
Lisa is thrilled to be having a child, but admits it was hard to “move on from her dreams of carrying her own child”.
She adds, “Hopefully in the future I will have this opportunity.”
Lisa Hochstein’s child is due on August 1. She adds she would love the baby to arrive on her birthday, July 24.
The Hochsteins do not know if they are having a boy or a girl, but are already thinking about names.
Lisa Hochstein joined The Real Housewives of Miami season two, alongside fellow new housewives Joanna Krupa and Karent Sierra. Sierra left in season three and there has not been a fourth season confirmed.
