Ice-T is a man of many talents including rapping, acting, and doing cartoon voiceovers?
The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night, where he showed off his skills.
Host Jimmy Fallon told Ice-T, “You probably have one of the coolest voices out there. I love just hearing your voice…and I didn’t know this, but you actually did lots of voiceover work for cartoons.”
“Oh, yeah,” the actor replied. “Lots of it. Listen hard, you’ll know [it’s my voice] …”
Jimmy then proceeded to play back a series of [obviously edited] clips from shows like G.I. Joe, Scooby-Doo and even Dora the Explorer.
We don’t have to imagine what the Saturday morning cartoons would have sounded like with the rapper voicing the characters.
The rapper did the voice for a G.I. Joe and a funny one for Shaggy, but we don’t think his Dora the Explorer would go over well with many parents.
Ice-T did the voiceover for Dora, saying, “All right, Boots, we gotta find Crocodile Lake. Any of you motherf*ckers seen Crocodile Lake? Oh, yeah, no s–t! It’s the lake filled with crocodiles.”
Ice-T also weighed in on the movie, “Fifty Shades of Grey”.
He described it as “boring” and that it “could’ve been on Nickelodeon”.
The rapper said, “I went to see it with [my wife] Coco. Coco read the books, and she said they were boring. She didn’t make me go, I wanted to see what all the women were talking about. I wanted to see—maybe I could’ve learned some moves…”
“It just kept building up,” he stated. “And I’m like, ‘What’s gonna happen? What’s gonna happen?’ And she told me that’s just how the books are. It’s kinda like Lost…where you think something’s gonna happen and you keep watching it. Fifty Shades of Grey—that’s nothing!”
“One shade of black, that’s all you need,” he quipped. “It’s all you need, baby!”
