Bobby Brown caused an uproar on social media after appearing at the BET Honors Monday night while his daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, remains in critical condition.
But the award ceremony was actually pre-taped on January 24, a week before Bobbi Kristina was discovered in her Atlanta home’s bathtub. That didn’t stop the ugly Twitter comments!
The “My Prerogative” singer has been at his daughter’s bedside since her mysterious drowning.
BET tweeted out a statement explaining that the show was taped previously, although many didn’t seem to understand exactly how long ago the event took place.
The network tweeted, “Continued prayers for King of R&B Bobby Brown during this difficult time. (The #BETHONORS is pre-taped)”.
One Twitter user @kdpnba wrote, “She’s been in that condition for over a month no excuse. To tweet is an insult”.
We can’t help but feel sorry for Bobby Brown, with the mean tweets against him over a misunderstanding.
Bobby has not only received a tongue-lashing from fans, but from Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon.
Gordon claims he has been banned from visiting Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston.
Bobby Brown’s lawyers responded, saying, “Mr. Gordon was offered an opportunity to potentially visit Bobbi Kristina and he declined to meet the terms of any possible visit.”
The feud escalated Monday when Gordon took to Twitter to defend his actions and attack Bobby Brown.
