Bobbi Kristina Brown’s father, Bobby Brown, released a new statement through his lawyer on his daughter.
The singer reveals they are investigating the events leading up to her hospitalization, also stating that his daughter was not legally married to Nick Gordon.
Brown issued a statement though his attorney, saying, “We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina.”
The statement added, “To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon. We continue to request privacy in this matter. Please allow for our family to deal with this matter and give Bobbi Kristina the love and support she needs at this time.”
Krissy and Nick claimed to be married in January 2015, posting photos of their rings.
Gordon and a friend named Maxwell Lomas discovered Bobbi in the bathtub on Saturday morning and called 911.
Authorities said that Gordon started CPR and paramedics took over life-saving measures upon arrival, before rushing Brown to the hospital. She was then placed on a ventilator.
Earlier yesterday, Bobbi Kristina remained in a medically-induced coma at North Fulton Hospital, but multiple sources confirm she was moved last night to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
New reports claim that Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina were “partying” and “got into an argument” shortly before she was found in the bathtub under the water.
An insider said, “Krissy and Nick lived together but their relationship was rocky. She believed that Nick cheated on her all the time. He likes strippers. Krissy was going to end things with him.”
Nick has never been welcomed with open arms by the Houston family or her father.
A family insider said, “There is a lot of tension whenever Nick comes around. He wants to be more involved but the family is basically shutting him out. Bobby and Whitney’s family don’t like him one bit. Aunt Pat and him got into a bad argument after Whitney’s death. Everyone thinks he was just after Whitney’s money and was using Krissy. Nobody there trusts him.”
Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston, actually has a restraining order against Gordon. Pat filed for the order of protection on March 14, 2014, after Gordon “made threatening comments and posted photos of guns with the intention of making (her) fearful for her personal safety.”
