We were all hoping for a miracle, after learning Whitney Houston’s daughter was in a coma after being discovered submerged in her home’s bathtub.
But doctors have reportedly told the Houston family and Bobbi Kristina’s father, Bobby Brown, that there is nothing more they can do. Update!
People Magazine reported Thursday a family member confirmed that “Everyone is coming to the hospital to say goodbye” as they prepare to take her off life support. On Wednesday, a doctor at the Atlanta medical center told the family there was nothing more they could do for the 21-year-old, according to sources.
Through his attorney, however, Bobby Brown denied the report, saying, “There is no ‘family gathering’ today that is any different from any other day since she has been in the hospital — the family has been there since the weekend so nothing any different today for them to be there than any other day. She is not brain dead and the Houstons and the Browns are not fighting.”
The Daily Mail reports Bobbi Kristina was removed from life support on Thursday, but that report has not been confirmed.
Today is actually Bobby Brown’s birthday, with some close to the family suggesting he would wait until after the weekend to make the painful decision.
Brown previously had a family member that came out of a coma after eight days, holding onto that hope for his daughter.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, remained in a coma in an Atlanta hospital, after being pulled from a bathtub on Saturday.
New details reveal that Bobbi’s friend, Maxwell Lomas, is the one that pulled her from the bathtub and not Nick Gordon.
Lomas’ attorney, Philip Holloway, stated, “He immediately pulled her from the water and called 911 as well as alerting other people in the house. He did whatever he could do to assist in resuscitative measures until first responders arrived.”
The tragic incident is eerily similar to her mother Whitney Houston’s death.
A source close to the family stated, “It’s now a matter of when the family wants to let go and accept that she’s pretty much not going to make it. They’ve left it up to the family as to how long they want to keep her alive”.
Doctors treating the aspiring singer have told her father, former New Edition frontman Bobby Brown, 45, that they’ve done all they can to save her life.
Bobby refuses to accept the sad news and continues to pray for a miracle.
Brown has been singing hymns and gospel songs to his 21-year-old daughter .
A Brown family member said, “We’ll sing ‘Jesus Loves Me,’ ‘Amazing Grace,’ but also some of Whitney’s songs. We’ve been singing ‘Greatest Love of All.’ Bobby has sung that to her too.”
Bobbi Kristina was moved from North Fulton Hospital to Emory University Hospital after suffering a series of seizures. She has remained unresponsive as a ventilator aids her breathing.
This is so tragic and we all send our prayers and thoughts to their family.
