Actor Beau Kazer, who is best known for his role as Brock Reynolds on The Young And The Restless, has passed away.
Kazer died on Dec. 30 in Thousand Oaks, California. He was 63.
Beau played the role of Katherine Chancellor’s son, played by the late Jeanne Cooper, on the long-running soap opera.
Tributes to Beau were paid by his The Young and the Restless co-stars, with Daniel Goddard leaving a heartfelt message on his Facebook page.
Goddard wrote, “The Young and the Restless has lost another of its own… RIP Beau Kazer (Brock) I remember the first time I heard your voice and thought wow! This guy should have been in radio! Then I watched u act and was blown away with how natural and honest your performances always were. God Bless”.
The makeup artist of The Young and the Restless, Patti Denney, also tweeted her condolences for the star.
Patti tweeted, “So sad to hear of the passing of Beau Kayser …Brock Reynolds on the Young &The Restless…Kay Chancellor’s son…rest in peace Beau”.
The Canadian-born actor first appeared on the soap opera in 1974, and continued to be a fixture on the program for his over forty year career in television.
He left the show in 1980, but appeared on The Young and the Restless on and off from 1984 to 2013.
Kazer came back to attend his TV mother’s funeral in one of the show’s most heartwarming episodes.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Alkus.
