We have to admit we are excited about this new band. Former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver vocalist, Scott Weiland, will be fronting Art of Anarchy.

The group also features other members of high-profile bands. Check out a sample of their sound here!

Art of Anarchy’s lineup includes Weiland, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron Thal aka Bumblefoot, Disturbed bassist John Moyer, and guitarist Jon Votta and Vince Votta on drums.

The supergroup’s upcoming self-titled debut album will reportedly be released this spring.

Bumblefoot and the Votta twins are longtime friends and Jon Votta approached Thal about forming a new band.

Vince Votta came up with the name of Art of Anarchy because it will be “extreme and uncompromising”.

The guys then lined up John Moyer and Scott Weiland’s distinct vocals.

Scott may have been kicked out by the Stone Temple Pilots, but is releasing an album with his backing band, the Wildabouts, in addition to his new group Art of Anarchy.

Weiland’s album Blaster will be released on March 31 and they will go on tour in February.

Are you excited about this new group?  We just love Weiland’s voice!
