Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have called it quits, with Many filing for divorce and citing the standard “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
Moore recently provided backing vocals for Adams’ latest album, but is now singing a different tune.
Mandy filed the legal documents to end her marriage, asking for spousal support from Adams. She listed the date of their separation as “to be determined”.
Moore, 30, and Adams, 40, married in March 2009.
There have been some signs of trouble in paradise, after Adams hung up on an Australian radio station during an interview in September 2014.
Ryan told the DJ’s, “I just don’t share at all about my personal life.”
The interviewer didn’t back down so Adams hung up.
Ryan later explained, “The deal is this. I’m a private person and I’ll be a gentleman and say I’m not talking about my marriage ever. I’ll never talk about it. Ever.”
He also seemed to be expecting bad news hours before Moore’s filing, writing on Instagram that he was anticipating “panic attacks” over the weekend.
Moore filed in L.A. while he was away in New York for an appearance with Late Late Night with Seth Meyers.
The couple never had any children, but raised what Moore recently called a “little zoo”. The couple owned seven cats and two dogs as of August.
Last month, Moore gushed over their fur babies, adding, “There’s no way to have a connection with my husband. There are always animals in between [us] !”
