The guys of Maroon 5 became real-life wedding crashers in their new music video for “Sugar”.
The band surprised brides and grooms by showing up and performing at their receptions, much to their surprise and delight.
The pop rock group, led by The Voice coach Adam Levine, filmed footage of the wedding celebrations late last year.
Levine states at the beginning of the video, “We’re gonna drive across L.A. and hit every wedding we possibly can. It’s gonna be awesome.”
At each venue, the film crew rushes in and sets up a massive white backdrop, as wedding guests look on puzzled.
The band is suddenly revealed and the couples appear shocked and thrilled!
Adam Levine said, “It was an out of body experience. I had no idea I would be affected by the overwhelming reactions we received from the couples and guests. Being able to create an unforgettable experience for several people was the highlight of it all.”
The news about the band crashing one Los Angeles couple’s wedding made headlines last month and it was revealed they had filmed their surprise performance for a music video.
The newlyweds danced to some of their songs, including “She Will Be Loved,” and posed for photos with Levine.
Marriage is apparently on Levine’s mind after he tied the knot with Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo, 25, in July 2014.
Adam and Behati exchanged vows in front of 275 guests, including stars Robert Downey Jr., Jonah Hill, and Jason Segel.
Behati wore a Marchesa gown, while she had some of her fellow Victoria’s Secret Angels as her bridesmaids.
They had Stevie Nicks perform at the ceremony.
