Jennifer Lopez, who previously admitted she doesn’t like to be alone, is giving her romance with Casper Smart another chance.
Couples split for a reason, but the singer appears to find comfort in going back to former flames again and again.
J-Lo and Casper are dating again, even ringing in the New Year together in Las Vegas.
Lopez was there for her “The Best Is Yet To Come” New Year’s Eve concert at Caesars Palace.
The singer dated her former back-up dancer for three years, despite their 18-year age gap.
The news of their reconciliation comes on the heels of her interview with Self magazine, where she admitted she was scared being alone.
Lopez said, “I am a love addict. I found the comfort in someone else. That’s called being a love addict. When I face myself, I go, ‘You have a fear of really being on your own. So you know what? That’s what we’re gonna do right now.’ But it took me years to get there. So first it was learning to love myself. And then it was about facing my fears.”
Jennifer, who has had failed marriages to Cris Judd, Ojani Noa, and Marc Anthony, split from 27-year-old dancer Casper in June after nearly three years together.
News of their split came shortly after his transgender model scandal.
They started dating in October 2011, a few months after J-Lo split from Marc Anthony.
Lopez has hit back at critics that think it’s wrong for women to date younger men. J-Lo insists it’s “no big deal”.
Jennifer stated, “All the old clichés about women need to be undone. Enough already. We’re in the other position now. We are desirable older, we can date younger guys and it’s not this big taboo. Men have been doing this for years, and it’s no big deal. Enough with the clichés about women. We can date younger guys … it’s no big deal.”
