Gary Oldman may be a brilliant actor, but his personal life isn’t quite as successful. The Hollywood star is getting divorced again.
Oldman’s fourth wife, Alexandra Edenborough, 36, filed for divorce on January 9.
Oldman, 56, married the singer and actress on New Year’s Eve 2008. They have no children together.
In court documents, Edenborough has asked for Oldman to pay for spousal support and her attorney’s fees. She requested for him not to receive spousal support.
Last year, the Dark Knight actor appeared hopeful about his most recent marriage.
Oldman told The Independent, “Practice makes perfect. Isn’t that what they say? I’m not proud that this is my fourth marriage. But this is a good one. Hopefully, my last one”.
Oldman was married to Leslie Manville from 1987-1989, who he shares son Alfie, 26, with. Gary then went on to marry actress Uma Thurman in 1990, after they met on the set of State Of Grace. That marriage ended after two years.
His third marriage was to Donya Fiorentino, which ended in 2001. She accused the British actor of hitting her during an argument.
Oldman eventually won sole legal and physical custody of their two sons Gulliver, 17, and Charlie, 15.
He said, “It was an article I did with Playboy and I said some things that were poorly considered, and once I had seen it in print, I could see it was, um, offensive, insensitive, pernicious and ill-informed. And, uh, well, words have meaning, they carry weight, they carry on long after you’ve said them, and I don’t condone or excuse the words I used in any context. I just basically shouldn’t have used them in any context. But I did an I have deeply injured and wounded a great many people.”
