Most of us found George Clooney’s acceptance speech at the Golden Globes very charming and touching.

But Ellen DeGeneres had a very different reaction, as shown in her funny spoof video.

We all found it very romantic when George Clooney told wife Amal Alamuddin, “I couldn’t be more proud to be called your husband”

It was a great moment, but Ellen has released a hilarious spoof of Clooney’s Golden Globes speech on The Ellen DeGeneres show.

In the video, she could be seen ‘seated’ next to Amal during the 53-year-old ER star’s emotional acceptance of the Cecil B. Demille Lifetime Achievement Award just days before.

Ellen pretended to be smitten, acting as if Clooney was talking about her in his speech when he said, “It’s a humbling thing when you find someone you love.”

Ellen pretends to be shocked

DeGeneres then sips her champagne as the actor says his new wife’s name, spitting it out when she realizes he wasn’t talking about her.

Ellen then exclaims “Amal?”, before reluctantly clapping her hands for the lawyer and activist. She then goes back to sipping her champagne.

After the video was played, Ellen quipped, “I don’t know why she sat me next to her or why I was wearing a dress.”

Ellen has previously done a cute spoof for “50 Shades of Grey”.
