Marilyn Manson is promoting his new album and sat down with Esquire magazine.
Manson basically told the publication that Courtney Love was a whore, but that he didn’t sleep with her. But Courtney hit back on Twitter!
The 46-year-old singer was asked about an alleged feud with Courtney, replying, “We never really had a falling out. We’ve always been weird with each other, because she’s slept with pretty much every one of my friends, supposedly. Not me, though.
“She, one time, told me she was mad at me because I didn’t want to f*** her and I was smarter than her. I said, ‘Well, you kind of proved your own point right there on that one.'”
Love took to Twitter to respond to Manson’s comments, tweeting, “Omg @marilynmanson all this time thought u’re gay. Of course I’ll f*** u. Im free Fri from 1:15 to 1:18 gives us plenty time 4 a smoke too x.”
Courtney and Marilyn both acted (but not in the same scene) in the seventh and final season of Sons of Anarchy.
In 1999, Manson and Love teamed up for the Beautiful Monsters Tour, but they reportedly couldn’t get along and ended the tour two months early.
During Manson’s interview with Esquire, he also talked about Smashing Pumpkins frontman, Billy Corgan.
Corgan previously wrote Manson a letter to warn him that his former fiancee, Rose McGowan, would “ruin his career”.
The Dope Show singer said, “[It was] good advice. There is sort of a guy code that I abide by where he totally offered his advice, and he was genuinely just looking out for my best interests. I hadn’t seen him in 15 years. I had forgotten how close we were, having not seen him in so long. He’s the one who taught me how to play guitar, so if it sucks or it’s good, it’s his fault.”
Loma Vista Recordings dropped his ninth studio album The Pale Emperor on Monday.
