Patrick Carney dislocated his shoulder in St. Barths on Saturday, after a giant wave slammed him to the ocean floor.

The 34-year-old Grammy winner was rushed to the hospital for treatment to reset a dislocated shoulder. Ouch!

Patrick made light of the situation by posting an Instagram photo of his injured shoulder.

He captioned the photo, “Tune into my new lifetime movie. ‘Dislocated shoulder’ airing right now”.

Patrick had been enjoying a break on the French Caribbean island between legs of the Black Keys’ Turn Blue World Tour.

He and his guitarist and singer Dan Auerbach are scheduled to resume that tour with a benefit performance in Los Angeles on February 6.

There has not yet been any information if his shoulder injury will affect that date or the European leg of the tour starting in February.

We are certain that would be a major downer, with the band’s popularity since their breakout 2010 album, Brothers. They won three Grammy Awards for that release, followed by three more for the Black Keys’ next album, El Camino.

The group’s current album, 2014’s Turn Blue, has been named a number-one record in both the United States and Australia.

Patrick Carney was one of many celebrities to hit the beaches of exclusive St. Barth’s over the past week.

Rihanna, Leonardo DiCaprio, Chris Rock, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Salma Hayek, Russell Simmons, Heidi Klum, and Sean Combs have all been spotted at the popular tropical destination.
