It appears Christmas has come early for singer Stevie Wonder, who welcomed a baby girl with girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy.
Baby Nia is the ninth child for the 64-year-old, his second with Tomeeka.
No other details on the couple’s bundle of joy have been released.
In November, there were reports that Stevie and Tomeeka were expecting triplets, but Wonder shot down the rumors when he appeared on The View shortly afterward.
Stevie addressed the reports, laughing off the triplet news but confirming he was having another child.
He said, “Whoopi, it’s so hard for me these days. That’s why I’m going on the road. I’ve got how many—22 kids? But actually it’s not true.”
The soul singer has eight children with five different women. His children range in age from 12 months to 39 years.
Stevie laughed off the triplet reports, but did reveal he was having another baby. He revealed, “The truth is we’re going to have a wonderful daughter in December…And like I said in the song ‘Superstition,’ ‘When you believe in things you don’t understand, you suffer,'” he sang with a smile before adding, “So, you know, that’s a bunch of a bull.”
