Comedienne and Drop Dead Diva star Margaret Cho and her artist husband, Al Ridenour, have split after 11 years of an open marriage.
Open marriages always sound so cool open-minded, but in the end there is either jealousy or someone falls in love with the side-piece.
A source said of Cho and Ridenour’s split, “It’s been really, really hard for her. She’s going through a really rough time and she’s really sad about it.”
The 46-year-old bisexual tied the knot with Al, 53, in 2003 and explained the success of the unconventional union on their tenth anniversary.
She told Queerty.com, “It’s about creating family. It’s about creating the relationship that you’re meant to create. I’m all about commitment. And I’m all about marriage. And I’m all about family. And I’m queer also. A lot of people have questioned my marriage and questioned the validity of my marriage, but I’ve been married 51 times longer than Kim Kardashian and that guy she was with. 51 times longer. 51 times! I mean that’s, like, significant”.
During Cho’s appearance on The Real last year she explained, “I’m married to a man but I’m bisexual so I like both. We got together because … we both have this (idea), “I just don’t want to have sex with the same person my whole life. That’s just gross.”
She stated, “We have a really big house. It’s kind of like if we wanna have that, it’s like, ‘You can stay on your side or I’ll stay on my side. When I see her, I’ll make her dinner. … Oh yeah. I’ve definitely been in the house.'”
