Beyonce has just surpassed Dolly Parton’s record to become the most-nominated woman in Grammy history.
Bey and Dolly were tied at 46 Grammy nominations a piece until Beyonce’s Grammy nomination today.
Knowles was nominated today for Best Urban Contemporary, which led to her beating Parton’s record of being the woman with a total of 47 nominations.
In terms of most Grammy-nominated artist overall, she’s currently tied with producer David Foster for seventh place. But the 2015 Grammy nominees haven’t been revealed in full yet. She will move past him with just one more nomination.
As for wins, Beyoncé has won 17 so far. But given the quality of Beyoncé, don’t be surprised if that total changes at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.
Beyonce, 33, has five studio albums under her belt since going solo from Destiny’s Child, winning 17 accolades from the Grammys.
The compilation was the fastest-selling album in iTunes history with nearly 830,000 copies sold in three days.
Beyonce landed four awards at the 2014 VMAs, including the Video Vanguard Award.
Her sexy music video for “Haunted” was released last month.
