Jimmy Kimmel debuted his latest post-Halloween tradition, the cruel but hilarious annual “I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy” prank”. The poor children’s reactions ranged from bratty fit-pulling to being understanding.
Are we terrible people for getting so much enjoyment out of watching children be traumatized?
Those kids had to go door-to-door in the cold in uncomfortable costumes to gather up those yummy treats, only to discover their parents pigged out on their haul (well not really).
Check out this year’s video of children’s hilarious reactions:
One child tells her mother, “Eat an apple”, after hearing her mother gorged on her candy.
There were also a few fits and even some throwing out curse words. But a few children actually consoled their parents and understood the candy temptation.
This annual post-Halloween fun is all for a good cause, with Kimmel encouraging parents to send some of their kids’ extra candy to U.S. military members through Operation Gratitude.
Parents have until November 15th to send their candy, and can find more information on the organization’s website.
