Buddy Valastro, the 37-year-old Hoboken baker that stars on “Cake Boss”, was pulled over by Manhattan police at 1 a.m. on Thursday.
Buddy was spotted weaving down the street in his yellow corvette and failed sobriety tests. Maybe it was the rum cake?
Buddy, whose real first name is Bartolo, was spotted driving erratically down 10th Avenue and weaving more between 20th Street and 32nd Street.
Police pulled the reality star and baker over. According to the Associated Press, Buddy was ‘unsteady’ on his feet, his face was ‘flushed,’ and he had ‘bloodshot’ eyes.
The “Cake Boss” star reeked of alcohol and “flunked multiple field sobriety tests.”
Buddy reportedly blew well above the legal limit on his Breathalyzer test. He was handcuffed on the scene and booked.
Valastro will go before a judge on Thursday morning and bail will be set.
The New Jersey native has a wife named Lisa and four children: Sofia, Marco, Carlo, Buddy Jr.
Valastro, of Montville, New Jersey, is the owner and head baker at Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken and is known for his elaborate and large cakes, which are featured on the show.
This isn’t the first time a “Cake Boss” star was in trouble with the law. Buddy’s brother-in-law, Remy Gonzalez, was arrested in 2010 for sexually assaulting a minor.
