Katy Perry’s boyfriend Diplo lashed out at Taylor Swift on Wednesday by posting several cruel tweets, joking he wanted to start a fundraising account to “get her a ‘booty”.
The 36-year-old DJ was put in his place by Taylor’s unlikely pal, singer Lorde, who took aim at his manhood.
Diplo took to Twitter earlier in the day to write, “Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty (sic)”
Diplo then tweeted a link to a Fundly account, started by a fan called Eric Spivak that called itself Get Taylor Swift A Booty.
The description of the campaign claimed to be supporting the top-charting singer but it was totally sarcastic. It read: “Taylor Swift Still Needs Your Help! Any true supporter of TSWIFT would definitely not pass up this opportunity to improve her posterior! Spread The Word If You Believe In Magic!”
At the time of writing, the Fundly account has raised $45 out of its goal of $3,500 with a total of 13 supporters donating to the cause.
Taylor’s friend Lorde addressed the slam for Swifty with her own tweet.
We are wondering why Diplo is taking aim at Taylor. Let’s be real here…Taylor has a body many girls would kill for!
Maybe the DJ was getting back at Swift over her little feud with his rumored girlfriend Katy Perry?
The two pop stars got into it over backup dancers earlier this year.
Swift was miffed after three of her dancers quit her tour to go on the road with the Roar singer.
Taylor later said her song Bad Blood was inspired by a superstar female frenemy, which many believed to be Katy.
In Rolling Stone magazine, the country-turned-pop star said the song Bad Blood, off her album 1989, was inspired by a a fellow singer, but the blonde refused to name them.
The next day Perry, who was quickly listed on social media sites as the possible bad girl (along with Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato), tweeted a cryptic message that suggested she could be the woman in question.
Katy wrote, “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…” referring to the main villain in comedy Mean Girls played by Rachel McAdams.
Swift told Rolling Stone of the “frenemy”, “For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’ Then last year, the other star crossed a line. She did something so horrible, I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me”.
This all seems bit childish and stupid. Don’t you think?
