Jessa Duggar, the new Mrs. Ben Seewald, didn’t want to share her first kiss at her wedding on camera but had no problem sharing a smooching photo on Instagram.
Maybe she just wanted a little practice first?
Jessa went from a private no-cameras-allowed wedding day kiss on Saturday to a very public photo of her kissing her husband on Instagram to over 600,000 followers on Wednesday.
The pretty brunette captioned the photo with the statement, “It’s great living life with your best friend!”
This affection is definitely new for the newlyweds, who were only allowed to hold hands and “side hug” during their engagement.
Jessa’s parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, also required that the couple be accompanied by a chaperone at all times.
Jessa and Ben were married in front of around 1,000 guests on November 1 at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas.
The bride and groom chose to share their first behind the scenes.
Wedding guests may not have been able to see Jessa and Ben kiss at the altar, but they did get to see a “Duggar Kiss.”
Pastor Mike Schadt introduced Mr. and Mrs. Seewald and explained why the newlyweds wouldn’t be sharing a kiss for all to see. He asked Jim Bob and Michelle to do the honors so that the crowd could see a “Duggar Kiss.”
Jim Bob and Michelle previously said they are “like a newlywed couple every day”, celebrating 30 years of marriage.
Michelle states that married women should “say yes to sex,” even when they are tired.
The Duggar matriarch said, “Be available. Anyone can fix him lunch, but only one person can meet that physical need of love that he has, and you always need to be available when he calls.”
