Former Creed singer Scott Stapp admits he is living out of a Holiday Inn and his truck, after someone stole all his money.
The singer has been rumored to have a crystal meth addiction, but he claims he is clean and sober.
The “Arms Wide Open” singer posted a video Creed’s Facebook.com page, stating, “I’m under some kind of pretty vicious attack. There are people who have taken advantage and stolen money from me, and they’re trying to discredit me, slander me…
“Someone had used my information and changed my online passwords to my bank accounts and transferred all the money out my bank accounts so I had nothing.”
Stapp also reveals tax officials at the Irs have frozen his bank accounts “two or three times” due to a clerical error, and he claims he faces an uncertain financial future, adding, “I don’t understand how that’s fair in America. My civil rights have been violated.
“I’m gonna expose and I’m gonna fight every single individual that is responsible for this. Right now I’m looking for an honest, good attorney that’s ready to fight and take it all the way to the top.”
Stapp has had some pretty wild incidents in his life and has battled mental illness.
Scott attempted suicide by throwing himself from a Miami Beach hotel room in the past and reportedly threw a glass Orangina bottle at his estranged wife’s head.
His wife Jaclyn Stapp (née Nesheiwat) filed for divorce last month, claiming Stapp vanished from their home and went on a cross-country crystal meth binge.
The petition also claims that Scott Stapp is “doing so much amphetamines, crystal meth and steroids that he has become a paranoid shell who has threatened to kill himself and harm his family.”
She has also claimed Scott has sent her crazy test messages. Here are a few:
“Florida is not safe. Biological weapons on the way. U have to leave with kids and meet me in Atlanta.”
“I’m coming to get you Satan and children. No mercy. You know how this ends. God created you and now God is ending you.”
“I wouldn’t doubt it if the CIA is behind Alcoholics Anonymous.”
Now this is clearly a case of he said, she said…but we hope the talented singer can get his life back on track.
