The Hollywood stars that have thriving careers all had to start somewhere.
We’ve dug up some cute (and rather embarrassing) modeling photos of our favorite celebrities when they were young. Check them out!
Kirsten Dunst was taken on auditions starting at the age of three by her mother, Inez.
Dunst’s first job was a cereal commercial that led to landing a contract with Ford Modeling Agency. She landed a role in “Interview With a Vampire” alongside Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise five years later.
Here is Kirsten’s modeling photo. And if the little redhead with her looks familiar…it’s Lindsay Lohan!
Robert Pattinson is considered a heartthrob these days, especially for fans of “The Twilight” movies.
But Pattinson started out doing some modeling. The actor previously stated, “When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. Then, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs.”
We have to agree with the “looked like a girl” comments!
Former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Katherine Heigl started out in showbiz as a child model with Wilhelmina Models. She posed in a 1990 Kids R Us ad, before landing her first acting role in “That Night” in 1992.
Actress Milla Jovovich was only 12 when she was photographed by Herb Ritts for the cover of the Italian magazine Lei (“She”).[
She continued her modeling career before landing her first acting role in 1988 in “The Night Train to Kathmandu”. That same year she also appeared in her first movie “Two Moon Junction”.
Brad started out as a model before he made it big in Hollywood. In 1991, the aspiring actor played a man freed from prison in a commercial for Levi’s Jeans.
Ashton started modeling while he was still attending high school in Iowa. Kutcher previously said, “I didn’t even know guys modeled before that. I thought Fabio was the only male model, and I really didn’t fit that bill.”
Hayden Panettiere was a child model before she she began acting on soap operas “One Life to Live” and “Guiding Light”. She went on to star in “Heroes” and “Nashville”.
Mischa Barton started out as a model with Ford Models as a child and appeared in many ad campaigns. She became famous years later when she played the role of Marissa Cooper on the television show “The O.C.”.
The “Beautiful Mind” actress started modeling when she was just 10 years old, even posing for Seventeen magazine . Jennifer later said of modeling, “I didn’t take it very seriously. I wasn’t like, ‘I’m a model.'”
Lindsay Lohan started working young, singing with Ford Models as a child and landing a national print campaign with Calvin Klein. In 1998, she won her first acting role in the Disney remake of “The Parent Trap”.
“Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester moved to New York when she was just 11 years old and signed with Wilhelmina Models shortly afterwards. Meester did commercials for Clerasil and Tamagotchi, as well as a campaign for Ralph Lauren.
Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence is most known for her roles in “Silver Linings Playbook”, “American Hustle”, and “Hunger Games”. But before her big break, she did a little modeling work.
Mila Kunis was enrolled in acting classes at the age of nine, where she met Susan Curtis and she became her manager. Mila’s first gig was a Barbie commercial, which then led to a commercial for the Lisa Frank product line.
“Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerhalder was born and raised in Covington, Lousiana. He started out doing modeling at the age of 10 until he was a teenager. He decided at age 17 that he wanted to go into acting.
These days he is a heartthrob, especially to fans of his character Damon Salvatore on “Vampire Diaries”.
