The latest episode of South Park took on the subject of gender identity with a storyline involving New Zealand pop singer Lorde.

In the episode, Stan’s father Randy is revealed to actually be the popular singer Lorde. The singer tweeted about being the subject of the hilarous show.

The funny episode begins with Cartman finding he can use the girl’s bathroom if he identifies himself as transgender, which eventually segues into the plot involving Randy.

After he himself uses the women’s bathroom at work, Randy realizes his desire to be a pop singer and begins recording songs using Auto-Tune.

It’s only after women at work ask Randy to stop using their bathroom that he discovers it’s not the bathroom, but rather his own talents that are responsible for last year’s best song.

Randy finally accepts his alter ego and the show ends with the whole town of South Park rocking out to Lorde’s latest hit single.

Lorde tweeted about the show, but also revealed it was actually Sia that did the music for the episode.
