Robert Downey Jr. has finally confirmed he will play the superhero in “Iron Man 4” yet again during his appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday.
The 49-year-old sexy actor talked about the film, the death of his mother, and his children.
Downey Jr. had previously said he believed he was finished playing Tony Stark and his alter-ego Iron Man, but he made fans happy after confirming he will reprise his role for the fourth movie.
Robert tried to act coy when asked about doing another “Iron Man” movie, but Ellen pressed him for an answer.
He told Ellen, “I know there’s going to be a bunch more Marvel movies and they have big ideas of how to do it best. You know we’re in the middle of negotiations….
But the host didn’t have to twist his arm before he revealed, “Ok, yes”.
The actor also discussed expecting his third child ( a girl), his second with wife Susan.
The couple already have an almost three-year-old son, Exton, together and Robert has a 21-year-old son, Indio, from a previous relationship.
Robert said of having a daughter, “It’s wild. I’ve heard for dad’s you grow a new heart valve when you have a daughter and there’s all sorts of new experiences and feelings and stuff.”
He told Ellen, “She was a great gal. Big fan of yours, by the way. Even now! She’s probably watching right now”.
The actor adds, “Regardless of what your issues are… what you’re going through. There is something about your mom’s voice that just so puts you in check. It’s so hard to B.S. them because, you know for all the obvious reasons try though we may.”
