“No Strings Attached” star Lake Bell and her artist husband Scott Campbell are celebrating the birth of their first child, a baby girl!
Her rep confirmed the couple’s happy news, but gave no other details on the birth.
Bell announced the pregnancy after displaying her baby bump at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on April 23.
The actress claimed she had everything ready for the baby last month, posting a photo with the caption “Everything is ready to go! Sterile, chillaxing, serene… Hope baby comes early!”
We believe she was just joking because it certainly didn’t appear to be anywhere close to being ready in the messy room.
Lake and Scott met in 2011 on the set of her HBO show “How To Make It In America”, when he made a cameo appearance as himself on the show.
They became engaged on Lake’s birthday on March 24 in 2012, and tied the knot last June at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Lake wrote and directed the movie “In A World”, also starring in the movie as an underachieving vocal coach who is motivated by her father to pursue her aspirations of becoming a voice-over actor.
Bell said of the film, “[Natural] fodder for comedy, because obviously hearing a bunch of people taking on these omniscient, important, authoritative sounds while their personal lives are perhaps less perfectly tuned is an interesting place to start for comedy. Since I was a little girl. I was always obsessed with accents and sounds and people’s voices.”
Her screenplay for “In A World” landed the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award when it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
Congrats to Lake Bell on her baby girl. We will fill you in with details once they are released.
