Halle Berry is sick and tired of her ex-boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubry, living off her monthly child support he receives for their daughter Nahla.
The actress pays her baby daddy $16,000 a month and wants it slashed to just over $3,000 a month.
Halle, 47, filed legal documents requesting the judge of their custody case to reduce her monthly child support.
Berry claims that Gabriel has stopped working and is happy to live off the child support he receives. Um, can she blame him?
She calls it an “abuse of the system”.
The pair share joint custody of their adorable daughter Nahla.
Halle has moved on with her life and is now married to French actor Olivier Martinez, 48. They have an 11-month-old son named Maceo together.
Halle recently said, “I just feel great because I have another baby. I never thought that at my stage in life another baby – and a baby boy – was coming to me, so yeah, I’m blessed.”
This certainly isn’t the first time Halle and Gabriel haven’t seen eye-to-eye on parenting matters.
Aubry fought for the right to see his daughter Nahla during a fierce custody dispute with Halle in 2012.
The Canadian model took Halle to court following their split after five years together in 2010, which resulted in a judge blocking her attempt to relocate to France with Nahla and Martinez.
The custody dispute even became physical when Gabriel and Olivier got into a fist fight in November 2012.
Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon ruled for Berry to pay Gabriel $16,000 a month (almost $200K a year) to support their daughter.
The order also called for Halle, 47, to pay Gabriel a retroactive payment of $115,000 and $300,000 to his attorneys to cover the costs of their custody dispute.
