“Glee” star Matthew Morrison, who plays the role of Will Schuester on the musical series, has tied the knot with model Renee Puente.
The couple married in front of 50 friends and family members on Saturday on the island of Maui.
The 35-year-old actor proposed to the 31-year-old model and actress last year with a blue sapphire ring after dating for two years.
Morrison and Puente were married Saturday evening on a private estate in Kihei on the island of Maui, Hawaii.
Matthew looked dapper in a custom Brooks Brothers tuxedo for the occasion, while the bride wore a one-of-a-kind Gustavo gown.
During the reception, Puente put on a special Hula performance for her husband.
The newlyweds later performed a duet of Laura Benanti’s “Starry Eyed/Video Games”.
Matthew and Renee’s engagement in June 2013 was announced by his friends, Elton John and David Furnish.
Coldplayfrontman Chris Martin then followed the announcement by being joined with Elton for a duet of “Your Song,” which was dedicated to the newly engaged couple.
Morrison tweeted the next day, “An incredible night of LOVE @ejaf Ball. I’m going to marry my best friend! Happy day for me and @Renee_Puente.”
He also tweeted, “In a world filled with so much negativity, I’m so inspired by all of the positive wishes for our engagement! Means so much to us! Thanks!”
Congrats to the happy couple on their marriage!
