Fans of Tyson Stevens and his former band Scary Kids Scaring Kids were shocked to learn that the singer had passed away on Tuesday at the young age of 29.

The earlier reports claimed Tyson just died in his sleep, but it’s now being revealed that he likely passed away of a drug overdose.

Stevens was found dead on Tuesday morning in Tuscon, Arizona by his girlfriend, Sabrina Amber.

Tyson’s official cause of death has not been released, but his mother and girlfriend told police investigators that Stevens died from an overdose. They believed heroin may have been the drug that led to his demise.

Sabrina and Tyson’s mother revealed the singer had struggled with heroin addiction for quite some time, but that he finally got clean recently.

That seems to occur often sadly. The risk of death is actually higher for newly clean heroin addicts. After being clean for some time, the user often does too much. They don’t need as much to get high as they did when they were using it regularly.

Many people die from heroin overdoses when their bodies almost “forget” to breathe.

Heroin makes you calm and sleep and with too much you can fall asleep and your respiratory system shuts down. A heroin overdose can also cause your blood pressure to dip significantly and cause your heart to fail.

Insiders reveal that Tyson’s body had signs of older track marks that were scabbed over on his right ankle. Heroin was not located in his home, but police did recover marijuana and pipes.

The toxicology report will take weeks and should reveal his exact cause of death.

Another talented person gone too soon…
