Jep Robertson was in much scarier shape than we originally imagined.
The “Duck Dynasty” star was actually put on life support for four days after being hospitalized for a seizure.
The youngest of the Robertson brothers was on a deer hunting trip on October 19 when he unexpectedly suffered a seizure.
The 36-year-old, now safe and healthy, has opened up about the scary experience and how he nearly lost his life.
Jep recalled the day of the seizure, “I reached to get my bow and that’s kind of the last I remember. I crumbled to the ground and they said that I had a seizure for five minutes.”
He adds, “I thought I was a goner.”
Jep also revealed the details on his hospitalization. It had previously been reported that he was treated with antibiotics for a possible infection which could have caused the seizure.
The father-of-four explained that he was placed on a ventilator for four days and was tied to his bed and sedated.
He stated, “Waking up Thursday I was looking around and asked [my wife] Jess, ‘What are we doing in the hospital?’ I had no idea what had happened four days before”.
Jep kept his great sense of humor, comparing himself to action star Steven Seagal.
The reality star, Jules Jeptha Robertson, is the youngest of Phil and Miss Kay’s four sons.
He stars on the the popular A&E show, but also films and edits footage of the family for their company’s Duckmen DVD series.
We sure are happy he is feeling better.
Season seven of “Duck Dynasty” is set to premiere on November 19th at 9pm.
