Tyson Curtis Stevens, the frontman of the former band Scary Kids Scaring Kids and currently the frontman for Coma Prevail, has been found dead at the age of 29.
Stevens was reportedly found dead this morning by his girlfriend, Sabrina Amber. So sad.
Tyson formed the band Scary Kids Scaring Kids in Arizona in 2002. After releasing their debut EP, After Dark, the band went on to release two full-length albums – The City Sleeps in Flames (2005) and Scary Kids Scaring Kids (2007).
SKSK signed a major label deal with RCA Records, before announcing their split in 2009.
Stevens’ new band, Coma Prevail, have also now confirmed the news on Facebook, saying simply, “Unfortunately the rumors are true”.
The band said they would provide details once the family had time to grieve.
There are no details on Tyson Stevens’ cause of death, but it appears he passed away in his sleep.
The singer had just celebrated his 29th birthday on September 29.
